Visit Pearland is thrilled to once again assist relevant organizations through this annual program, funded by the City of Pearland’s hotel occupancy tax fund for projects that support cultural and fine arts in Pearland. Potential project or event categories include visual or performance arts, music, film, literary, folk and traditional arts, and other creative concepts. Visit Pearland has managed the grant program since 2013 with past projects supported including the Puranava Indian Culture Festival, Pearl Theater productions, Pearland Lunar New Year, and the PLTX Film Festival.
The application period for the fiscal year 2027 program begins August 17 and runs through September 18, with grants awarded in early November. Proposed programming must occur between October 1, 2026, and September 30, 2027, to be considered eligible for a matching grant. This timeline marks the beginning and end of the city’s 2027 fiscal year.
“This program has supported several vibrant events and programs in Pearland for visitors and residents alike to experience,” said Tracy Rohrbacher, Visit Pearland Executive Director. “We’re excited to continue offering arts centric nonprofits with an opportunity to take advantage of this program.”
Eligible nonprofit organizations proposing a grant-funded project, program, event, or activity that will take place within the corporate city limits of Pearland are encouraged to apply. To be considered, projects must meet eligible criteria. Funding is limited to a $6,000 maximum grant application.
New this year, Visit Pearland will host virtual and in-person workshops to help interested organizations complete their grant application.
