Pearland City Council will hold a special meeting today, July 27, at 3 p.m. for a public presentation and discussion of the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget for the city’s utility enterprise funds, including water, sewer, and solid waste.
This afternoon’s session is for council discussion and public transparency; staff is not requesting council action at this meeting, but the decisions made in these workshops will shape future utility rates, capital projects, and long‑term financial policies for Pearland’s water and wastewater systems.

The FY27 budget proposes a 12 percent increase in water and sewer rates, with an average residential household paying about 13.70 dollars more per month. Under the proposed FY27 rates, the typical bill would move from roughly 114.20 dollars to 127.90 dollars for combined water and sewer.
