Born and raised in California, Betty built a career spanning customer service, public safety, finance, and entrepreneurship. For more than 14 years, she has worked in financial management and budgeting for the federal government’s Public Buildings Service. Along the way, she also worked in life insurance, served as a sheriff’s office dispatcher, invested in real estate, and built a portfolio of rental properties and Airbnb’s that she self-managed.
Throughout every stage of her career, one thing has remained constant: she learns quickly, works hard, and enjoys turning complex problems into practical solutions.
Looking back, Betty realizes transportation and public service had been woven throughout her life long before she ever owned a chauffeur company. Her father has worked for the U.S. Postal Service since 1987. Her mother was one of the first Asian women to own a travel agency in Oakland’s Chinatown during the 1990s, organizing domestic and international tours and charter bus trips long before online booking existed. Betty grew up answering phones, preparing proposals, helping coordinate tours, and learning firsthand how to operate a travel and transportation company.
At the same time, her uncle owned a motorcoach company that frequently partnered with her mother’s agency, giving the family deep roots in the transportation industry. Years later, without realizing how life had come full circle, Betty married Kae, who shared the same values. Like her father, he built a career in public service, and like her uncle, he spent more than 14 years as a professional city bus driver. It wasn’t until they founded Top Tier Chauffeur Services that Betty recognized how each chapter of her life had quietly prepared her for the business she would eventually build.
In 2019, Betty and Kae relocated from California to Pearland, Texas, where they chose to raise their family and build a future together. The inspiration for their business came during an airport rideshare trip when Betty noticed their driver had completed thousands of rides and began calculating what that could mean as a business. Combined with her family’s background in travel and Kae’s years of professional driving experience, she saw an opportunity to create a transportation company focused on professionalism, hospitality, and peace of mind.
They launched Top Tier Chauffeur Services in 2023 with one vehicle, one driver, and a vision of providing more than just transportation. Today, the company has grown into a multi-vehicle fleet serving airport transfers, cruise transportation, corporate travel, conferences, weddings, and large group events throughout Pearland and the Greater Houston area.
For Betty, the company has evolved beyond simply moving passengers from one place to another. She realized that clients are often overwhelmed by travel logistics, especially when coordinating flights, cruise vacations, conferences, or large groups. Although the company has grown, Betty remains personally involved with nearly every reservation. She is often the first person clients speak with, preparing quotes, coordinating logistics, dispatching chauffeurs, and ensuring every detail is handled from beginning to end. Her chauffeurs undergo extensive screening, licensing, drug testing, and professional chauffeur certification, reflecting the company’s commitment to safety, professionalism, and white-glove service.
One area where Betty has found a unique passion is managing complex transportation logistics for conferences, corporate events, airline crews, and large groups. While many companies focus on individual executive transportation, she thrives on coordinating multiple vehicles, schedules, and moving parts to create a seamless experience for all of the passengers.
As Top Tier Chauffeur Services continues to grow, Betty remains focused on preserving the personal service that has defined the company from the beginning.
