Quentin Wiltz was sworn in as Pearland’s new mayor Monday night surrounded by family, supporters, and city leaders, many of whom emphasized the moment as a new chapter in Pearland’s story.
In his remarks, Wiltz focused on unity and shared responsibility, stressing that Pearland is made up of all its people and that everyone has a role in shaping its future. He called on residents from every neighborhood, background, and perspective to work together, listen to one another, and stay engaged in city affairs.
Rather than dwelling on campaign battles, he spoke about building trust, improving communication, and ensuring that City Hall remains open and responsive to the community.
As Pearland continues to navigate rapid growth, infrastructure needs, and quality‑of‑life challenges, Wiltz framed his leadership as a commitment to collaboration.
He urged residents to see one another as neighbors first, not opponents, and to approach disagreements with respect and a shared desire to keep Pearland moving forward.
For many in attendance, the evening felt less like a political event and more like a civic gathering centered on what the city can accomplish when all of its people pull in the same direction.
